Have you heard the phrase “from the gutter-most to the uttermost”? That is what occurs in your spiritual life when you become a Christian. You are transformed from a sinful self to the exact opposite — one who is able to live in harmony with God. Paul talks about what God has done for [...]
I can see God’s plan for mankind in 1 Thessalonians 1:10. It summarizes what God has done for us through His Son Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:10 “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”
The previous verse [...]
Looking at Ephesians 3:8, there are several things we can learn.
Ephesians 3:8 “Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;”
I noticed right off that Paul references himself as the “least of all saints.” [...]
In Ephesians 2:19, Paul elaborates on what Christ did for us when He died on the cross. He uses a metaphor of our state before and after we became Christians.
Ephesians 2:19 “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;”
We are [...]

One of the basic precepts of Salvation is found in Ephesians 2:8-10, that being that our salvation from God is completely undeserved on our part; it is a complete gift from God to us; we are created for God’s glorification.
I was asked by email one time how does one know that they are [...]
From time to time, it is important for a Christian to stop and reflect what God has done for us. It is impossible to comprehend the enormity of it all. But we still need to give pause and review what He has done, and give Him thanks for it. In Ephesians 2:4-7, Paul reviews [...]
In Romans 15:20-29, Paul tells the church of Rome how he longs to visit them. He has preached in places where the Word of God had not yet penetrated. The crux of this passage is in verses 20-22.
Romans 15:20-22 “Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, [...]
Regardless of if you see yourself as a good person or bad, God is willing to save everyone. [...]
