You will never know all there is to know about the Bible. The speakings of the Holy Spirit are as limitless as God Himself. Paul addresses people who see themselves as “wise” in 1 Corintians 3:19. 1 Corinthians 3:19 “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in [...] God expects Christians to be holy in their living. By the fact that God has forgiven sins and brought them into His family, joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, Christians are holy by that act alone. We ought to live like it because God expects it. In 1 Corinthians 3:16,17, Paul describes the collective Christian congregation [...] When Christians are judged by God one day, everything will be stripped down to what is truly of God and what is not. God is a just and honorable God and will make everything right when He fairly judges us all. 1 Corinthians 3:14,15 “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, [...] We may not realize it at the moment, but each Christian builds a building with their life they live each day. With each event in your life, you put up a new wall to this building. Our foundation is a solid foundation provided by God, whose name is Jesus Christ. God has provided this [...] 1 Corinthians 3:10 and 11 speak of how Jesus Christ is the foundation upon which all Christianity is built. Without Jesus Christ and what He did, the entire building collapses. Anything we do outside of the realm of Jesus Christ will collapse. Let’s look at these two verses. 1 Corinthians 3:10,11 “According to the [...] When I read 1 Corinthians 3:9, I first thought it was referring to Christians working together with each other to perform the Lord’s work. The Bible does say that we ought to work together as Christians, in unity. But that is not what this verse says. It says that we are to work together [...] Christians are to strive together toward achieving one single goal, to do the Lord’s work. We all have different responsibilities but our objective is the same. Paul talks about this unity and teamwork in 1 Corinthians 3:8. 1 Corinthians 3:8 “Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall [...] Planting and watering in and of themselves do not produce crops. Without God providing the miracle of sprouting and growing, no increase in crops would occur. Paul compares our role as Christians, and God’s role of saving lost souls to growing crops. There’s a lot we can learn from these two verses. 1 Corinthians [...] I hate to say it, but Christians are spiritually divided today as much as they ever have been. With all the activities of the world that distracts our attention from the Lord, our eyes are not so much on the Lord as they should be.
