So far in 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul has been talking to Christians about their preparedness for the rapture of the Church. His main message it seems is for Christians, in anticipation of the rapture, is to live our lives pleasing to God; to live our lives as though the rapture could occur at any [...] Psalm 95:1-6 "O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Today I studied this verse in 1 Thessalonians 4:16. This is a tremendous event. It marks the removal of Christians from the earth. Whether you are a Christian in this life will determine your eternal place in the afterlife. Many people think that when you die, it’s all over. We will miss them; miss their company and companionship. Paul understood this, and gives to Christians comforting words in the last part of 1 Thessalonians 4.
