I see three great Christian characteristics in 1 Thessalonians 1:3, characteristics which are repeated famously in 1 Corinthians chapter 13: faith, hope and charity. These are three characteristics which the church of the Thessalonians were known for; these are characteristics which we as Christians should also be known for.
